There is no information about when the building was built, who was its guarantor and designer.

In the archives of the Municipality of Varna there are projects from 1933 and 1939 for the construction of a summer restaurant at this place. The owner at that time was Ekaterina N. Provadalieva. The existing building has nothing to do with the buildings envisaged in the approved projects. In all probability the building now existing is later. Whether the owner is the remaining one has not been proven. The building is located with its south-western facade on "Knyaz Boris I" Blvd., and with the southeast - on "Slivnitsa" Blvd. The building has a low plinth and two floors. The architectural solution is elegant after all. The facade on "Knyaz Boris I" Blvd. is three-part, while on "Slivnitsa" Blvd. it is six-part. Between the floors, there is a shallow cornice above the openings on the first floor and a more prominent cornice at the level of the interstory constructions. The building ends with a richly profiled cornice with a tooth cut. The openings on the first floor are flanked by rusticated pilasters. The frames of the windows on the second floor represent a complete set of elements of the classical order, namely - a base, a window cornice and pilasters supporting a full-sized plastic entablature. The order elements are made of stone. In the 80s of the 20th century, the building housed the Varna Chess Society, which occupied the first floor. The second floor was used for residential purposes. From that time, the first interventions in the planning scheme of the site.

After 1982, the building was included in the list of declared NCC of the city of Varna. In 2013 the building has been completely rebuilt for a restaurant. Before the reconstruction, the building was removed from the list of declared NCCs of the city of Varna. The last traces of the interior walls of the building have also been removed. Competent facade restoration has been carried out. Commercial advertisements are placed on the two street facades, which are in the right places, but could be slightly reduced in size.

The style of the building is neoclassical. It appears that the last facade restoration was carried out with quality materials. In terms of degree, the building has a special role as a contemporary benchmark in terms of style and volume in relation to the two boulevards on which it was built.

It is not known if the object is connected with significant historical events and personalities.

The building has high civic popularity. Varna residents still call it "Shtakhdoma".
