Karaach teke fountain (small fountain)

The fountain was built on a small extension about 200 m south of the large "Karaach" fountain. The name "Karaach teke" means "tomb by the two elms". It is built entirely of large blocks of hewn stone, with a stone trough sunk into the ground. It is located under an old, broken tree trunk. In the upper part, a shallow niche was carved in which there was an inscription, which is now missing. In the lower plate there is a small, pointed niche. A spout is located near the trough.

Historically, the value of an object is related to its function.

The fountains were an essential part of the urban culture of Varna in the 18th and 19th centuries. In terms of urban planning, it is a significant element in the beautification of the street.

In the last year, a parking lot was formed on the territory around the fountain and the fountain was filled in, which prevented its functioning.
