Кратка информация
The fountain was built in 1894. The "Karaach" spring is captured in the neighboring property to the east. The name "Karaach teke" means "tomb by the two elms". The fountain is made entirely of cut limestone, the trough is also stone. It consists of a plinth and a stem ending with a cornice. A profiled cornice is placed on top of the masonry. Below it is a stone slab with a flat frame and the inscriptions "N.D.V." and "1894". A small, pointed niche is formed under the slab. A spout is located near the trough.
The fountain continues to work to this day, and the water is safe to drink.
Historically, the site is valuable as it represents an example of the improvement of the city and an essential part of the urban culture of Varna in the 18th and 19th centuries. In terms of urban planning, it is a significant element of street improvement.
The object has a high civic popularity among the winegrowers in the area of Salzitsa and Souksolar, due to the fact that it never dries up.
