As part of the "HERITAGE AT RISK" initiative, the #varnaheritage team created a series of short informational videos about the risks to the immovable cultural heritage of Varna.
In Episode 1 of the series, a synthesized image of the system of heritage protection in Bulgaria is presented, with an example from Varna - Medieval Monastery in the town of Karaach Teke.
The initiative aims to:
- raise awareness of immovable cultural heritage sites at risk and their level of value;
- highlight the real threats to the heritage and the possibilities for their removal;
- promote sites that are not present in the official declaration list of Varna;
