Regional history museum - Varna

The building was built in the period 1893-1899 for the State High School "Duchess Maria Louisa". It is located on the site of former Turkish barracks.The project was officially submitted by the Belgian Minister of Education, after that Arch. Petko Momchilov reconstruct and adapts it to local conditions. The construction managers are arch. Hristo Kovachevski, arch. Schreiber and Arch. Sava Dimitrievich.Since March 3, 1983, the first floor of the Virgin High School building has been provided for the exposition of the Archaeological Museum, and since 1993 the Virgin High School building has been completely occupied by Regional Historical Museum - Varna. The author of the reconstruction of the museum building is arch. B. Bozhkov.
